A Reunion/Picnic for the first decade of KHS!

Well, I am doing it one more time. Please pass the word around.
My fellow Knights of Katella, Save The Date. Katella High School: “The Early Years Plus Some” Picnic/Reunion I just reserved shelter #4 at the Yorba Reginal Park 7600 E La Palma Ave, Anaheim, CA 92807, for Sunday, August 24, 2025 . We will gather from about 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Nothing says we have to leave at 3:00 if we are having fun. For our Sunday gathering I am planning on burgers with caramelized onions and grilled bell peppers along with potato salad and some bottled water to drink. I will be requesting $10 or $15 to help cover expenses and please bring something to share.
I also have us setup for lunch at 11:30 am at Tlaquepaque Restaurant 101 W Santa Fe Ave, Placentia, CA for Saturday, August 23, 2025 On Saturday it will buy your own lunch.
I am Class of 70 and consider 68 through 72 the early years but we are going to stretch it out to the Class of ‘77.
I am Mike VanDeWalker class of ‘69 and have been on the organizing committee for the ‘68-’69 reunions since the 40th. I will be posting this to all of the ‘68-’69 groups. Your job is to get it out to groups for your class years. We want to make this BIG. The first 10 years of KHS!!
What you need to bring:
- Yourself and make yourself a name tag.
- $5 to get into the park and $10 or $15 to help with expenses.
- A chair like a folding camp chair or such.
- Something to share to eat. Chips, deserts or whatever. If you want something to drink other than water, bring it with you.
- Do you still have your yearbook? They are really fun to thumb through.
- We are going to need a little help for setting up and a couple of people to help Ron cook. It gets really old being on your feet over that hot grill all day.
- If you are planning on attending, please fill out the RSVP form. It is pay at the park but we need an idea how many are coming.
I will be sending out more information as I get it but I think most everything is covered here. If you are willing to help out, please message me and I will get you my email and phone so we can keep in contact.
