NEWS FLASH! 2010 BEACH PARTY AND COOKOUT STARTING TO COME TOGETHER!! THE DATES AND LOCATION IS SET!! What: Katella High Classes Of 1968 and 1969 Beach Party and Cookout DATES: SEPTEMBER 10TH, 11TH AND 12TH 2010 LOCATION: DOHENY STATE BEACH LODGING: THE DOUBLETREE GUEST SUITES DOHENY BEACH
The cost to attend this great beach bash will be $30 per adult and $15 for children. This includes food, soft drinks and beer for those of you over the age of 21. Don't forget to being your I.D.. There is an additional parking fee at Doheny of $15 per vehicle. We have blocked out a number of rooms at the Double Tree Hotel . You can book your room at this time by clicking on this link.. The Double Tree is just across the street from Doheny State Beach. If you stay there, you can park there and walk over to the beach and save the $15 parking fee at the beach. At the 2008 reunion the Friday night get together in the hotel bar was a lot of fun other than the fact that they closed and kicked us out at 10:00 PM. We won't have that problem at Double Tree as they are open until 2:00 AM which is way past my bedtime anymore. There is no reason that we can't expand the hours of the beach party over to the hotel bar if people want to do that. We are working on a super rate at the hotel for Friday night and Saturday nights for those traveling in. They are quoting us a rate of $109 per night with a parking rate of $9 per night (from $22). Festivities to include a dinner or cocktails and hors 'd orves on Friday evening. Saturday will be a day of fun on the beach with basketball, volleyball, running, swimming, tanning and general chat. Saturday evening would be a catered cookout with all the fixins'. Please go to this page and fill out the form to reserve your space at the beach party. We will begin collecting deposits in late Spring of 2010. |
